Story
Following the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, also known as the Penguin, stages a show to seize control of Gotham’s criminal underworld. Colin Farrell and Kristin Milioti talk about how they got into the character during the production of “The Penguin.” Colin Farrell fought hard to get his own smoking tobacco version of The Penguin in Batman (2022), but failed.

The umbrella falls, and the logo is changed to the Warner Bros. logo.

The first episode is a direct sequel to Matt Reeves’s & # 39; Batman and I imagine those who haven’t seen the latter will be a bit lost. But I watched Batman a while ago, and this show did an admirable job of quickly picking me up where the movie left off without getting bogged down in a didactic recap.
The character may have nothing to do with the comic book version, but he’s interesting in his own right
It also perfectly recaps the film’s aesthetic and dark tone, though the show has far more moments of sly levity than the film. As in Batman, Colin Farrell does a great job of portraying the Penguin as a stereotypical mob “street guy”: rude, crude, animalistic, and quick to violence; but also smart, cunning, and a good reader.
But so far it’s off to a great start
I have my doubts about a show that gives the Penguin a teenage sidekick; and I don’t know if The Penguin’s machinations will be enough to sustain an entire season.
