Story
What follows is a world of deeper intrigue and deceit, where characters fight their own battles and face existential threats to the nation and the world. From “X-Men: First Choice” and “The Acolyte” to “The Cotton Club,” check out the television and film roles of “The Agency” stars Michael Fassbender, Jodie Turner-Smith, Richard Gere and more. Former CIA counterintelligence chief James Jesus Angleton, also known as the “spy poet,” described the intelligence game as a “desert of mirrors,” a phrase borrowed from a poem by T.S. Eliot called Gerontion (the title is Greek for “little old man”), and the poem is an interior monologue, giving the opinions and impressions of an older man, describing post-World War I Europe through the eyes of a man who spent most of his life in the 19th century.

In the world of intelligence, in the pursuit of truth, it is difficult to distinguish between reality and its reflection, an illusion if you will, as if we were in a “hall of mirrors”. Blake, the acronym “OBE” is incorrectly explained as “Overcome by Events”. In US government agencies, including the intelligence community and the Department of Defense, the correct/official explanation of the acronym “OBE” is “Overcome By Events”. I have to say that I was lucky enough to watch The Bureau in one sitting a few years ago and, to be honest, it is probably one of the best things I have ever seen.
You won’t regret it
Up until this point, nothing had come close to The Bureau. There is a correlation between the two series, of course it was mentioned that it was “influenced” by it, but to be honest I did not expect a similar plot. Don’t get me wrong, the series is fantastic so far, great cast, good camera work, but it’s nothing I haven’t already seen in the French version. It’s too early to say what it’s going to be like, but I recommend anyone who hasn’t seen The Bureau yet to check it out.
It’s not something you would watch while riding an exercise bike
After Fassbender played the professional assassin in David Fincher’s The Killer and I saw that he was in the cast, I knew right away that he was a great choice for the role. This kind of series actually requires a certain level of concentration while watching so that you can follow all the characters in the plot and the little details about them. Some might even find it slow, maybe even boring, but it’s exactly these characteristics and the complicated personal struggles that the characters have, plus the slow build-up of tension, that make it great, in my opinion.
